Translation of unofficial notes taken by the Unification Church History Compilation Committee

The relatives of members now have a heavy responsibility. They must raise congressmen who can contribute to the nation. Families combine to create a clan.

2

Once you read the Cheon Seong Gyeong, you must carry out the Family Pledge. The Pledge is for you. It is like a constitution. If you fail to practice these words, you cannot become an official member of the Unification Church, and you will have nothing to do with heaven. A revolutionary era is coming where the grandfather will be in the position of the grandson, the father the son, and the elder brother the younger brother.

3

The knowledge and concepts you accumulated until now were all conceived after the fall. Throughout history, Satan brought pain to God. This history must be cleansed completely. When I was young, I would always share anything that I came to possess. That is how I lived. I couldn't sleep.

4

Cheon Jeong Gung is not Rev. Moon's house. It is a lighthouse where you attend God and from where you can go to heaven. This house is like a beacon. People united with this beacon must become owners as well. You have to understand this concept.

5

The patriotism upheld by my ancestors is no less intense than any other household. I grew up in such a household and thus was trained to be discreet in my actions. I was thoroughly trained in attending to my grandfather and father with respect.

My ancestors were known to become red in the face when they drank alcohol. They were not good drinkers, they did not have extramarital affairs, and they did not divorce. I was born in such a familial background. I believe children are incarnations of their ancestors. When I was told to do something wrong, I revolted, even if it was against my grandfather or father.

6

I never even dreamed of becoming the founder of the Unification Church. I went searching for the truth and ultimately ended up with a single truth.

7

That single point was unification. Harmony must exist before anything can be unified. Wherever you go, you must bring harmony, then unity.

8

Japan was on the satanic side. They believe in the goddess Amaterasu. She symbolizes the sun. They didn't revere the absolute God. The Japanese believe that they come from this deity. They revere their ancestors with absolute respect.

Among the individual religious spheres, they are at the bottom of the spirit world, yet they have many spiritual experiences, but they also did many bad things. There are more than 180,000 religions registered at the Ministry of Education, Science, and Culture in Japan. How are they going to unite all those religions? It cannot be done by force.

9

When I was going to school in Japan, I remember seeing a US plane flying over Shinagawa to attack Japan for the first time. I was praying in the mountains at around twelve when I saw the plane. I felt that it was the end of Japan and that Korea's time was coming. Where is the nation that will take over Japan? As it was the Last Days, even Satan was compelled to ask Rev. Moon to do that. With the enemy begging me, how could I allow their ancestors and children to be killed? I had to welcome their children and take them to a world that is higher than the satanic world. Only then can a pathway be created through which people can safely go.

10

My children are all tall. We come from a line of strong men who were also famous for being smart. My ancestors liked to do research. I, too, went to private schools to learn about the sayings of Confucius and Mencius. I also went to twenty and even thirty years just to see how the rich lived. Likewise, I went to virtually every mountain around my village. I caught virtually every fish that could be caught in the rivers.

11

There was nothing I could not make with my own hands. There was a bowl-shaped clock that rang to tell the time. I didn't need anyone to teach me. I disassembled the watch in an orderly fashion and understood how it was made. It usually took me three to four days to reassemble the clock, so I told my family that it was broken. I will never forget the sound of the ring of that clock after reassembling it.

12

As I was trying to carry out and conclude everything that I spoke about in the front line of the Unification Church, I couldn't rest, as I was trying to carry out something that had never been done before in history. Can you rest just because you want to rest in peace? You have to eat when you are hungry, but I am working hard even when I am hungrier than you.

How can you, with a conscience, do that?

Yet, if you continue doing that for a week, you will break down. You will break down for sure. That's why you follow me. Don't be too happy that you joined the Unification Church. You've eaten enough until now.

13

What does it mean "to return to your hometown"?

Love returns to the hometown. Driven people who have returned to their hometown after creating ideal families. They should be able to boast before the people in their hometown. To do so, people should invest in the foundations of their happiness; instead, they attempted to take over the foundations of the village. Such people are completely aligned with the devil's path.

14

What I'm saying is that you should treat the members who returned to the Unification Church like you did before. Yet, they are incapable of taking in that kind of environment. People who were once disciples are now teachers; the people can no longer keep up with this environment, even if they had ten or even a hundred years. If they had been giving orders like a king, they could not stand being told what to do like a servant. They cannot stand it as the person talking to them used to be a friend and disciple.

15

Yet, they have to overcome this. They have to return to a position where they can be blessed as a member again. It's hard. That's why I don't use the children of those fallen people. People who went astray after joining the church and people who led reckless lives, I left alone. I didn't even look at them; I don't mind if they had graduated from a college in a different county or if they had become a doctor.

They are people who are needed at your age. I need people who can lay bricks! Yet, these people pursued their studies. They cannot enter the brick house. They are caught in the laws of indemnity.

16

The people I need are not the type that you need. I'm looking at conditions in people that will be needed in the future, ten, and even a thousand years from now.

It might take at least a thousand years for God's will to be fulfilled. History is organized in two-thousand-year sets. It's six thousand years through the Old and New Testaments. There's a formula; you should not deny this formula.

17

What do you think will happen if I allow the ambassadors for peace to bring their spouses and children to this place? You have to go out and pioneer the way. 2000 people should go out and work in the Pacific Rim era.

18

I'm sorry that I can't have Hoon Dok Hae with you many times. Still, this time is necessary. Don't lose hope; don't elope. Please return to your hometown in high spirits and bestow many blessings on your people.
